Copyright and Takedown Policy
Last updated May 14, 2026. A Chapter A Week is operated from the United States. Public-domain status is evaluated for U.S. use; copyright rules can differ outside the United States.
Source books
Books marked as Project Gutenberg sourced are selected from Project Gutenberg records listed as public domain in the United States. Each source book links to its official Project Gutenberg page. Project Gutenberg is a trademark of the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation and is not affiliated with A Chapter A Week.
Our display may be reformatted for weekly reading. Use the source link on each book detail page to obtain the official Project Gutenberg copy and license information directly from Project Gutenberg.
Original and submitted works
Original serials are platform-created works. Submitted manuscripts are not published automatically. Authors must represent that they own or control the rights and accept safety, plagiarism, takedown, and admin review before launch.
Takedown requests
Send copyright or rights complaints to copyright@achapteraweek.com. Include the work title, URL, your contact information, the rights owner or authorized agent, a description of the allegedly infringing material, the basis for your claim, and a statement that the information is accurate.
When a credible complaint is received, we may remove or disable access to the material while reviewing the claim. Repeat or bad-faith infringement submissions may result in account suspension or rejection from the submission program.
DMCA agent
Before accepting public uploads at scale, A Chapter A Week should register a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and publish the registered agent details here.
